    Abstract
    Abstract
Our goal is to reconstruct a species level phylogeny to support studies of character evolution, diversification, and historical biogeography. Here we add 12 species new to the study of Viburnum phylogeny1,2 for a total of 154 species sampled. We tested proposed classifications based on morphology and began to explore the historical biogeography of the clade by reconstructing ancestral range and identifying historical shifts in distribution.
