    Abstract
    Abstract
Mothers of low-income and of diverse backgrounds report high levels of depressive symptoms that go undetected and untreated. Few have explored reasons for depressed mood among disadvantaged mothers. The purpose of this study is to explore factors that contribute to depressed mood from the perspective of low-income and/or ethnic-minority mothers to inform depression prevention.
