Validating hormone-concentration estimates in the blood plasma of a songbird
Abstract
Abstract
Human-driven environmental stressors affect wildlife across the planet. Biomedical approaches are increasingly used to understand health effects of human disturbance to wildlife. Translating biomedical techniques into animal systems requires validation due to species differences in biochemistry. The purpose of this study is to validate measurement of stress-related hormone concentrations in plasma of our study species.
