dc.description.abstractA mathematical model that examines tumor-vasculature interactions is briefly presented in this work. I will discuss validation studies which demonstrate the model’s ability to qualitatively predict: 1) tumor growth under a range of biological conditions, and 2) the effects of several cancer drugs, in particular those that target the vasculature. This study concludes with an exploration of how the model can be used to learn new things about treating cancer using vascular-targeting compounds.en_US
