Abstract
The concern that childhood weight status is one of the most significant predictors for obesity in adulthood, and its consequences for health complications, may loom large. However, there has been little success in the treatment of pediatric obesity historically(Loos & Yeo, 2021). The facilitators of the “Family Matters” program recruited parents at a local preschool and daycare center. Students at the College of
New Jersey presented a workshop about childhood nutrition, including hands-on experience with creating healthy, family friendly meals. Parents expressed common concerns about keeping their children healthy, and motivation to do so.
