    Abstract
    Abstract
Climate change has increased the risk of extreme weather events and flooding, so vehicle submersion emergencies are becoming more common, yet most Americans remain unprepared to respond effectively. This project was conducted through TCNJ’s Justice and Blameworthiness Lab (JABLab) in partnership with Kids and Car Safety (KACS), a leading national nonprofit dedicated to preventing vehicle related injuries and deaths. KACS collects and records data on incidents such as hot car deaths, backovers, and vehicle submersions in order to inform prevention efforts and save lives, especially those of children.
