Cross-cultural overlap in family nursing: insights from a global competency document analysis

Abstract

Six focus groups with practicing family nurses were conducted to evaluate how current competency statements might be strengthened, with particular attention to whether family nursing should be considered a generalist or a specialist competency. After some training, I facilitated one of these groups, contributing additional perspectives to the larger picture.
