    Abstract
    Abstract
Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is a therapy widely applicable to treat neurological disorders, however its mechanism of action is not fully understood. One hypothesis is depolarization blockage resulted from extracellular potassium accumulation. In this study, we used a computational model of hippocampal CA1 pyramidal cells to investigate the effects of accumulated [K⁺]ₒ on evoked local field potential and single unit action potential.
